I knew the lyric, but to the best of my knowledge, Hotel California was a hit in the SEVENTIES. So what's it doing here?
although I remember arguing with some girl my age a few years ago about how the Supremes were not from the 1950s, but the 1960s, they didn't sing "Be My Baby" (um, hi, that was the RONNETTES, who were not 'Motown'), and that 'Motown' could only be attached to people who ACTUALLY were signed to that label (and that did not include the Drifters or the Platters. DUH.) but did include the Temptations, the Four Tops, the Miracles, Martha and the Vandellas, Mary Wells, and Stevie Wonder, among some others.
