lwoodblooWell, it's been a really good couple of days. I got to see sleater kinney last night with someone from college who I hadn't seen since god knows how long. Friend of a friend, do you know what I mean? We had a great time, well, I thought so. Great band, good company. My throat still hurts. They looked like they were having SO much fun! It was cool to see a band that didn't look like playing out was some kind of trial by torture. AND I pogoed last night. My feet hurt too. *laughs*
I met some cool people at the show, most of them looking to buy tix for what was a sold out show. Made some friends that if I see at a show again, I can say hello to. Which is nice. I go to a lot of them by myself. So it would be nice to see people I know. For me, it's not easy to talk to people I don't know. I made an effort last night, and it kinda paid off. SO many interesting looking people. The usual new york people wearing black and exuding cool, but also young punks who just.....well, they just seem so enthusiastic and into it. No pretense about "I'm going to be laid back on this." When carrie's bouncing around the stage and janet's rolling her eyes at us, everyone's going loopy. Random though: buzzed hair looks cute on girls. Me like.
