First Gygax, now Dave Arneson is terminal with cancer.

I'm a little sad about this. Probably more than a little. I would have been, by a looooooooooong extension, connected to Dave if the adventure comp I signed on to write for had ever gotten published. I'm feeling a bit of regret that I didn't get to meet him at the GenCon I went to with the Gaggites back in the day.

Dave was one of the co creators of D&D back in the day. He's responsible for Blackmoor, which imho is one of the more interesting and successful crossbreeds of sci fi and fantasy, at the very least for that time period, if not all time.

Just...remember all those role playing games you like? There's a little of Dave in most if not all of them. Gary too, but don't forget Dave.
