Sep. 11th, 2008 05:15 pmI generally just repost what I wrote on 9/11/01 today. It says everything I need it to. For those of you who don't know, I worked at 140 west street for eight years out of college, and I was across the street from the trade center a good chunk of that morning. My memories are no more/less valid than anyone else's, but they are vivid. So here goes: http://lwoodbloo.livejournal.com/31132.html#cutid1
Today. Today was pretty sucky. Occasionally, for some reason I can't fathom, I have an occasionally recurring case of the gout, and it recurred this morning at about 4:30. At least, that's what I think it is. I suppose I could have sprained it rolling around in bed, but rest assured that I was not doing anything particularly fun in said bed. So I don't rightly know. So it's off to the sawbones tomorrow. My da, who is a generally non interventionist sort of dude, remarked that I was far too young for this to be happening to me, and that I should speak to my GP about a physical and such. It's true that my health has been a little off lately. And it's worth going, especially since i need to use my new health insurance, if only to see how it is as compared to Aetna which I had at VZ.
So yeah. Could be worse. Closing for the coop should be next week.
