Feb. 16th, 2007 10:52 pmDear Windows Vista,
Dude. I thought we were getting along so well.
How is it that you can't run ADOM? ADOM is SIMPLE. What kind of issues are you going to have when we try to run Morrowind?
We are SO not friends.

Date: 2007-02-17 06:17 pm (UTC)I beta'd Vista up through RC2. At this point I don't think you could pay me to run it. There's nothing it does to justify itself and plenty it does to increase its pain in ass factor. Several months down the road it might be stable and supported enough for those who absolutely need to use it to rely on it in a production environment. However at its current rate it's going to be looked upon as the next Windows ME.
As it stands I'm needing to get comfortable with the Linux command line fast to handle a webserver, so that may be the final straw in Windows at home, seeing as I do so little gaming these days anyway.

Date: 2007-02-17 08:14 pm (UTC)I only wish Bootcamp would work with Win2k, as I never went beyond that myself. Then I could ditch my creaky old Athlon 650 altogether. As it is, I only keep it for remote access for work, and sometime next month they're rolling out a new RA solution that's supposedly only going to work on XP SP2. Meh.
