My smoke alarm went off at 4am.

Erring on the side of caution, my mom and I searched around for what might be on fire.

We couldn't find anything.

So we called 311, to see what we ought to do. They directed us to 911.

The fire dept came. Made some pretty funny jokes, but determined there was no danger and that the smoke alarm was likely faulty.

But the fact is, I've been up since 4am.

I'm. Fucking. Tired.

Sorry that you've been up since the wee small hours. Of course, that's what time my parents get up every weekday so I'm sure they'd have no sympathy. I do. However, when's the last time you changed the batteries in your fire/smoke alarm? That could be mighty important in your future sleeping hours.
