You know, someone IMed me this morning claiming the exact opposite - that he was getting off easy.
I think that person was being kind of dumb. After all, we don't get much more than our lives in this world - can't imagine what could be worse than losing it.
I think he probably did something to induce his "heart attack" to avoid having to spend the rest of his life in jail. I feel like for such a person, who really seemed to believe in his innocence, death was preferable to the shame and ignominy of having fallen from grace. So, no justice in my book. He DID get off easy.
Justice was not served by this, but it happened. I only hope his estate will be disposed suc hthat the people Mr. Lay exploited receive some recompense.
