Got home from class. Momma resnick's not feeling well, so I waited on her hand and foot for a while. We get worried about her. I don't know how many of you know this ([livejournal.com profile] niamh1 and [livejournal.com profile] gaoisnurse do), but mom had a heart attack before she turned fifty, so I get a little bit crazy whenever she mentions that she's not feeling well. I had class last night, but was a bit agitated to get home and see her. Mom doesn't complain much about being ill, so when she does...you can imagine.

Class, though, was excellent. My professor is adorable. She calls me "her gentleman". I think [livejournal.com profile] brokensiren has competition. ;-) She's really awesome, and I love her class, even though it's more work than I've ever had to do. Talked to her about some of my doubts and she made me feel a lot better.

Me and Pretty Girlfriend, we're not exactly the king and queen of rational behavior, by the way. No voice of reason here.

My cousin Rise (there oughta be an accent mark on that e) is supposed to be in town this weekend. That side of the family...kinda troubled. It's nice to see her prospering down in FLA. Just reminds me I have to go down, see her and my cousin Joey. Joe's badass. He's defensive tackle sized and really a nice gent. With the way the weather is, I might have to go sooner rather than later.

Could someone show me how to direct link pictures? Email me off line.

Oh.

And I have to email a friend with some music. Zevon fans, what would you send someone who wants some of mr. zevon?

As far as the pictures go, since you've got a paid account, you can alwayws upload to pics.livejournal.com. I'm pretty sure they've included an option for posting pictures to LJ in the interface.

A total Zevon neophyte?

"Werewolves Of London" (if he or she doesn't already know it)

"Lawyers, Guns And Money"

"Mohammed's Radio"

"Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner"

"Mr. Bad Example"

Not total, so I think I can dispense with Werewolves.

I'm gonna do some deep cuts, things very few people know.

I want them to release the Envoy on CD.

Cos I'm just an excitable boy.

I actually go by Mr. Bad Example in a couple of places.

But I appreciate you thinkin' I'm excitable, because I consider that a compliment, Sister. *smilesandhugses*

the title track from MBE might be a little intimidating since it's so wordy and polka-y - i'd recommend:

-finishing touches
-searching for a heart (the live one from learning to flinch)
-porcelain monkey
-sacrificial lambs
-hasten down the wind (the learning to flinch one again)
-desperadoes under the eaves (this. is. a. must.)
-angel dressed in black (an amazing driving song)
