Dec. 2nd, 2004 09:57 amI'm reading Simon Winchester's book about the eruption of Krakatoa.
Amazing. Simply amazing. I love these novelized non fiction works about historical events. I've read one about the life of Dr. John Dee, one about the creation of the OED, Simon Singh's works on math and crypto, and now Winchester's book about Krakatoa. I love geology as a rank amateur does, I have this book and "Annals of the Former World" in my bag right now, and I really find myself enjoying this stuff.
But I digress.
