I need some new music.

Everyone recommend a band/artist that is NOT the following.

Better than Ezra

Carbon Leaf

DaVinci's Notebook.

I know y'all think these guys are brill.

I like music that sounds like buildings falling down, but I also like soul and funk.

Music Recommendations

Bad Religion - Anything they've ever made is recommended, and they've got over 20 years of music to pick from. Have a blast.

Guttermouth - Musical Monkey :: Any songs off of this album are likely to at least make a mark on you, but I recommend Lucky the Donkey or Lipstick as top favorites.

Alkaline Trio - I'm not really into emo much, but as I get older I find myself liking it more and more. Shut up. The Trio isn't emo. Yes they are. No they're not. Okay. Anyway, maybe you'll like 'em?

These are my recommendations. I've got to go to work now, and since I don't know you, or even who you are, those might be shitty recommendations for you, but you should download them from somewhere and have a listen.

If you like them, you can mail me $5 (address provided upon request).

there are a couple of MP3's on the website, and we've got an oldoldold recording for sale there too.

we're ALMOST done recording the new one. GetHip has shown lots of interest and we're expecting them to put it out when we're done recording. those should be available in record stores across the world.

um..long story. sorry.

Gather ye some more Tom Waits!

Hmm... For something COMPLETELY different try Miss Kitten. She's a german DJ. I like her sound, so that says a lot.

Pink Grease has the old school sound mixed with the crashing noise you seem to like so much.

I don't know if I've recommended Carina Round to you or not, but something tells me you would also like her work.

Snow Patrol is very good too, though their sound is mild compared to what you normally go for.

I can't think of anything else at the moment, but when I do, I'll let you know.

3) Yes, I recall when you were writing the review.

4) I have one snow patrol track. Decent.

I love the "eyes crossed" icon, by the way. You're so cute.

Oh Christ. RAIN ON MY PARADE why don't you! ;)

Okay, okay, okay. Who, besides Better than Ezra? *thinks*

I think you'd like Black Lab, especially songs like "Can't Keep the Rain", "Learn to Crawl" and "Perfect Girl", songs that are harder edged from them but also gorgeous lyrically. I also think you should check out Rilo Kiley, not because I think it's really your type but because you can't go wrong with Jenny Lewis. Lastly, The Dandy Warhols. I think you'd appreciate.
