I'd recommend buying The Bends first - it was their last really "guitar rock" record, and the first of theirs that I liked. After that, I'd buy OK Computer - an incredible album, but slightly more difficult to get into. I'd recommend both equally, though.

i don't own a single radiohead record (and probably never will) so i say don't get one! hah!
you could get the fall's new record 'the real new fall lp' or perhaps the new best-of '50,000 fall fans can't be wrong' and get way more joy for your money.
