lwoodblooWhat with the health issues with the female members of my family lately (gram and mom), mother's day was truly welcome this year. I drove back from VA yesterday morning, pulling in at around 1130am, and went to brunch with the family. Got to chow down with my cousin Manny again and his fiance. Good people. Mom was there. No matter how much we argue about things, I realize how much I love her. We went to the nursing home and saw gram after that. I stayed for a while, and then just went home. Manny and I talked, really talked, for the first time in months. I told him about a lot of the things that bothered me, and he talked about some of the things that bothered them. I hope this truly has reopened the lines of communication. I would hate to lose the friendship just because we decided to move in together.
