Reading Tom Friedman again.

for those of you who don't know, Tom Friedman is a columnist for, among others, The New York Times.

I'll wait for the booing to stop.

Okay, now then. Friedman is, in my opinion, one of the best with an eye on what's happening in the middle east. I was just reading one of his old columns in a collection I own called "longitudes and attitudes". He raises the point that Islam needs to have a reformation, much like Judaism and Christianity did. I think he's right.

I was challenged on my beliefs by an old friend the other day. It saddens me that the left and right can't come together on certain fundamental rights and needs of their people. Health care needs to be more accessible, not less. Guns need controlling, NOT BANNING. We need a strong defense and intelligence community, because whether we like it or not, we have enemies, and as a nation we have to defend our people. I'm pro choice, because that's a choice that should remain with the family, not with legislation. Women shouldn't have to sneak around. I think any man who tells a woman what to do with her body needs to go to the devil. I think Oswald was part of a vast conspiracy. I think that Tir Tairngire will emerge in the future.

I'm done ranting now.
