Awww weekend!

lwoodblooI'm in a really good mood, despite having gotten up at six this morning. Maybe it's because.....I had a good weekend! Even having written a paper most of saturday, it was light and fun.
The take home due today was done by thursday night. Freed me up something fierce. I haven't written a big paper in SO long, so the ten pager due wednesday was worrying me. So I decided to sacrifice my friday evening to get a good start. It went okay. I got two or so pages written before I just quit. galatea_world and I talked for hours. It was really kinda cool, talked politics and whatnot. It's nice to be making friends locally. She introduced me to an online forum I enjoyed reading quite a bit. I think I'm going to post my rant about modern fantasy fiction (De Lint, Gaiman, Powers, jack de brul). Can't stand swords and sorcery, too much hackery. But I digress. Got to talk to James a little bit too...I felt shitty because I was so tired, but she was too...and I wanted to make her feel better.
Saturday was rockin'.galatea_world and I met up to see Bad Santa, which was a trip. "FUCK ME SANTA!" "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO SHIT RIGHT FOR A WEEK!" SO nice to be able to go to a movie and laugh like i want to. Much better than feeling self conscious. I got back to the house and put my writing hat on. I have this light canvas hat with a Mooney Suzuki "Thumbs Up" pin on it. I look secksy in it, and it focuses my brain waves so the orbital mind control lasers can't seize my consciousness for my evil ends.
That and I look cute.
Digression again. Yeah. I wrote five, maybe six pages between five and nine saturday, and I'm not NEARLY done. Probably another three pages, and then good to go.
Sunday we role played. People trekked out to astoria in the snow, which I appreciate...but get the FUCK out! I have to go to work the next day, and it's nine o clock.
I had a fun evening last night too.
So, yeah. Just give me a sopor for the WEEKEND!
