I've been making noises about buying property for a bit now. I Honestly believe that rent is a scam, and I've been trying to avoid it for a while. I thought the Lex Luthor "let's create NEW land to live on" thing was such a great idea...but then he wanted to sell that anyway. So, not so much. So, like I said, I've been looking for a while, and I had seen some places that were okay, some that were awful...and then. And then I saw a spot about eight blocks or so from the ancestral family estates. Gorgeous, newly renovated. I bargained them down 30k or so, and I signed a contract today. I'm quite pleased. When the time comes, there shall be housewarming. With board games. And strippers. Well, maybe not strippers. But definitely housewarming and board games.
