God I love sublime. I know that there'll be someone out there who disagrees with me, but I've never found anyone who listened to them more than once and didn't fall in love. I love the kind of swampy lolling rhythm they'd set up on some songs, and then go all hardcore on the next. It's really cool.
I remember this being the first record where I recognized samples and could laugh about where thye came from. I remember feeling like this was a record to sit on my back porch and drink tequila and play acoustic with.
RIP, Brad. I hope you see that there were a whole lot of bands out there that were just a pale copy of yours.
