It's been quite a few days since I posted here, or so I perceive. I cut my
finger last night doing something or another, so typing's not the easiest
today.

I've been quite thoughtful lately, just kind of sitting and feeling rather
pensive. Intellectualism, the future, women, the nature of love and sex,
naughty thoughts, holy thoughts, creativity, travel....all these topics
make me purse my lips and look vaguely like I'm in pain lately.

I wish I was as prolific as some of the people on my list. I do not
regiment myself as far as time, nor do I try to get x amount of words on
paper. Idle thoughts run through my head that I truly wish I could get down
at that moment. Maybe it's time I bought that minicassette recorder that
I've always wanted.

I've seen a lot of comments about Maggie Gyllenhaal's figure in Secretary
lately. My $.02? I think that's a function of Lee not having eaten for
however long in the movie. Not Maggie being "typical movie star thin". But
then....I have a teenie tiny maggie fixation. She looks like an old time
movie star, and I like that. A lot.

I finished Andy Greenwald's book about Emo/punk rock. Nice section on LJ in
there. Funny that we all know a kid who writes like that.

Ooh. The klezmer band I saw in London three years ago, Oy Va Voi, just
released a record reviewed in Mojo. Four stars! Rar.
