Y'know, it's furreakin' cold out today. Windy too.

My mood's really carrying me right now, that and my mp3 cd.

This weekend was lovely. Saw [livejournal.com profile] chelipunkass friday, then saturday I went to my cousin Debra's baby naming. That was wonderful. Got to see most everyone in the family, well, at least that side. I like kids. Quite a bit. Maybe I just like other people's children. Entirely possible.

Saturday afternoon was Matt time. Just relaxed, was on the phone a little, took a little nap, because I was going to a late late late movie, it started at ten. [livejournal.com profile] feroluce im'd, asked me what I was doing. Told her I was going to a movie, by myself. She explained patiently that was not so, that she would be coming with me. Unable to resist her feminine wiles (what is it with that, ladies? I went to a dirtbombs show, Mick gives me stickers, AND I GIVE THEM ALL TO THE GIRL I WAS HANGING WITH?????) I acquiesced, and met up with her in the city. We had a great time, as usual. We saw the movie Secretary. It was yummilicious. Except that Maggie is WAY thinner than I thought she'd be. James Spader was...wow. He and Maggie, they have this really great chemistry. It's this really awesome love story. I wish everyone would see this and appreciate it, but I get the feeling that the "uck" factor can be kind of high if your mind is not open. C'est la vie, that's their problem.

Sunday was....oh come on. I'm a guy, and I've been watching football on and off for as long as I can remember! Of course I watched the super bowl. But before that, Manny and I cleaned house. The bathroom is spotless, and all the dishes are done. I plan on coming home tonite, sweeping, mopping, cleaning the stove, and doing our counter tops. The living room, shockingly, is clean. Especially since we've entertained a lot lately. But I went to a friend's house for the game, met some really cool new people.

Now I'm at work. Listening to Fagersta, Sweden's Hives at the moment. That Almqvist guy's got some attitude to him, doesn't he? There was this really cool fake letter by him in this past month's Spin. Best part of it was, you could imagine him saying EVERYTHING in the letter. I like artists who are willing to tell you that you do, in fact, Suck. I do suck on occasion. But I rock more often than that. No disagreeing about that, [livejournal.com profile] chelipunkass. *muahs*

Okay peoples. Have a good one, and enjoy yourselves.

PS. [livejournal.com profile] elordais, hope all is cool. IM me later if you can.

Mike watt. I <3 Mike Watt. Mike Watt is cool. Mike Watt Plays Bass.

[livejournal.com profile] lwoodbloo listens to MikeWatt solo musics today and is enjoying them. I miss D Boon too, Watt. You mook.

One of my best rock moments of the past year was seeing Watt open for MofBurma at the El Rey theater in hell lay. Me an [livejournal.com profile] ladyjendifi rocked out with him. I found myself drawn to the stage, cos I'd so rarely seen this obvious genuine love and affection for music, no money grubbing crap happening....it was pure and wonderful. I guess it's weird hero worship, but Watt's my hero.

I'm done now.
